Searching for Answers
Searching for Answers is an exploratory documentary about self-discovery and family. It is about my personal journey as a Hmong American woman traveling to Thailand and Laos to retrace my heritage. The documentary follows my professor and me as we retrace the refugee camps that my parents lived in for most of their lives and the camp where I was born. This documentary is about trying to hold onto a culture that is slowly fading and understanding the reasons why it is fading. Most of all, it is about understanding the people around you and the types of sacrifices they make in order for you to succeed and live a better life.
